CILICIA. Seleucia ad Calycadnus. Gordian III, 238-244. Tetrassarion (Bronze, 31 mm, 13.01 g, 7 h). ANTΩNIOC ΓOPΔIANOC CЄBATOC (sic!) Radiate and draped bust of Gordian III to right, seen from behind; on neck and before bust, two countermarks: monogram of ΔO within triangular incuse and monogram of KA. Rev. CЄΛЄVKЄ[ΩN...] KA[...]ΩN Tyche standing front, head to left, holding rudder in her right hand and cornucopiae in her left; behind, Gordian standing front, head to left, crowning Tyche with a wreath and holding scepter in his left hand. SNG Levante 765 var. (differing reverse legend). SNG Paris 1013-1014 var. (differing reverse legend). Ziegler 495-6. For countermarks, Howgego 618 and 670. Very fine.
